Baseball
Taking to South Oldham, the host team got thing started off in quick fashion Monday night, blitzing fourth seed Trimble County 10-0. After picking up two runs in the bottom of the third,  Dragons would turn up the heat an inning later, exploding for seven runs to put the game away. Drew Greenwood would lead the charge for South, going 2-for-2 in the win with two runs, a walk and two RBIs.
On the mound, Braden Johnson would go the distance, tossing just 61 pitches, 43 of those strikes, with only two hits surrendered.

In the nightcap, North Oldham would edge Oldham County 7-5, riding a four RBI performance from shortstop Connor Heady. He would get things started in the third frame, changing the complexion of the game with one swing of the bat on a two run blast to left-centefield. That wouldn't be all though as Heady would add two more two innings later and teammate John Kohler would pick up three ribbies of his own to close the North Oldham scoring.
Still, Oldham County would make things interesting down the stretch, rallying from a seven run deficit to cut the game to two after a five run fifth. They wouldn't get any closer though, falling 7-5.

With their wins, both North and South Oldham will meet for a shot at the 29th District crown. Play will kick off tonight at South Oldham at 6:30 p.m.
