Local students named National Merit Scholars

Two local students have received National Merit Scholarships. They are two of about 1,100 seniors who received the scholarships financed by about 200 companies, foundations and other business organizations.Jessica L. Michal of Crestwood, student at Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, received the National Merit James E. Casey Scholarship established by the United Parcel Service. Hannah L. Cook of Prospect, student at Ballard High School, received the National Merit Marsh & McLennan Companies Scholarship.
