Local students graduate from WKU's Gatton Academy

Ariel Bendon of Prospect and Schuyler Wolff of La Grange were recently honored as inaugural graduates of Western Kentucky University’s Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky.Fifty-four students representing 35 counties from across the Commonwealth were honored during the May 10 ceremony at the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center Amphitheater.Since August, Gatton Academy students have taken classes in mathematics, science and other subjects at WKU in fulfillment of high school requirements and the Gatton Academy curriculum.
