Alex’s Lemonade Stand was started by a young girl named Alexander “Alex” Scott at age 4, who while suffering from neuroblastoma, a form of aggressive childhood cancer, began raising funds for research with her own lemonade stand. In August 2004, at the age of 8, Alex passed away knowing that with the help of others, she had raised more than $1 million to help find a cure for all kids with cancer. The charity continues to grow in funds raised and donated to research by millions of dollars annually.
