The Living Treasure Oral History program was begun in 2007 by the Oldham County Historical Society to honor Oldham County’s elders. Eleven Living Treasures are recognized each month throughout the year, with a special reception held in January for the past year’s recipients as well as previous treasures. Their stories are featured in The Oldham Era and recorded and transcribed by Nancy Stearns Theiss, Executive Director of the Oldham County Historical Society.
