A full-time woman, a chaotic scatterTo the editor: In response to “Juggling life while being a parent” in the March 13 edition, I am a mother of three children ages 6, 3 and 1 and I am working full-time outside the home. How do I do it? I have no idea. Sorry if you were expecting some miracle plan for a perfect, structured household but the fact is that it is nothing but chaos from the time I wake until the kids are in bed. My day starts with a chaotic scatter of children, clothes and breakfast. In the middle of my day is the chaotic scatter of paper, bosses and errands; ending my day with a chaotic repeat of the morning replacing the breakfast with dinner. I know that many will say “you need a routine, it is better for the kids.” Let me save your vocal cords (or fingers, if you’re typing) we have tried the routine thing. We even had posters of rules and chores for the older kids but it lasted two days and we were back to chaos. I am too busy trying to catch up from the un-organization to get organized. So, here is my plan. I am going to wait until the kids are all over 18, drop from a full-time woman to a part-timer and yearn for that chaotic scatter of kids again.Torie Combest, Crestwood

The 2008 Primary Election is May 20. For the upcoming election, it is incumbent upon you to make sure your address is correct in my office, and that you know how you are registered, and know what precinct you are to vote.
