To the editor:It is astonishing how this county works. Most of us working folks in the county get our property tax bill every fall, take a minute or two to look at it, then mail it off to our mortgage company to be paid out of our escrow account. We might wonder how the value is arrived at for a minute, but then we move on hoping our monthly payment doesn’t go up much more. Meanwhile, the rich developers in this county get their tax bills, call up some of their friends and appeal their assessments. Suddenly their tax bill gets reduced by 25 percent!We should ALL be outraged!
