LETTER: Justice delayed by mistrial

To the editor:
On February 1, 2009, my step-son was killed in La Grange. Here it is July 28, 2011 and this case has never come to trial. My wife and I have been to court in La Grange over 40 times in the past two and a half years.
It seems that once the case was to come to trial the judge, Karen Conrad, declared it a mistrial and laid it over until March 2012.
I would only hope that never happens to any of you, for the pain is unbearable and has haunted our family for two and a half years. Judge Conrad only added another year to all the pain.
