A Prospect girl has been selected as a finalist in the pre-teen division of a contest hosted by TheCuteKid.com.
The Cute Kid contest is the largest of its kind and has been featured on Good Morning America, E!, The Wall Street Journal and many other publications as the most prestigious online child photo contest.
Riley Laden is a fifth-grader at Goshen Elementary. She has been modeling with a Cincinnati agency, Wings, for a year.
The Cute Kid contest is judged by professional judges from the modeling and entertainment industry and is in partnership with Parents Magazine.
“I am really honored and excited,” Laden said. “They get like a million entries a year and they chose me, it is really exciting.”
Laden, 10, is a student in Ms. Wilson’s class at Goshen and loves drawing and painting. She enjoys modeling and is interested in acting. Laden recently shot a television commercial for The Creation Museum, flew to New York City for Aeropostale and is a model for Woobie Wear hair accessories that are sold nationwide at Von Maur stores and specialty boutiques.
Laden has appeared on the cover of Model Source magazine and featured in Child Model Magazine. She is one of Child Model Magazine’s top 12 Most Beautiful 2011.
As a finalist, Laden is awarded a $500 savings bond and is in the running for the 2011 Cute Kid of The Year, and a chance at a $25,000 scholarship.
She has a sister, Katie, who is a freshman at North Oldham High School; and brother, Reed, 19 months.
She is the daughter of John and Sondrah Laden.
