Kline, Quigley advance in regional tournament play

FRANKFORT – Defending regional tennis champions Eric Quigley and Lauren Kline opened defense of their titles with easy wins Monday at the regional tourney at Franklin County.Quigley, a three-time state champion, beat Eric Steedly of Anderson County 6-0, 6-0 in his first match. Kline, last year’s state runner-up, beat Anne-Marie Detherage of Anderson County 6-0, 6-0.In the hunt for the team title, the NOHS girls are going after their fourth straight title and are right in the hunt. The Lady Mustangs are tied for first with Franklin County with eight points.
