By Janell Oliver, special to The Oldham Era
An Oldham County jury has ruled in unanimous favor that an Anchorage bank committed fraud as a Prospect couple’s land deal went awry.
And now, the bank is expected to pay hefty damages.
Jurors ordered the defendant, PBI Bank, to pay $1 to $1.4 million after cheating a Prospect couple of money owed to them from a 2005 real estate transaction.
The couple, Patricia and the late Eddie Wilhoyte, sold seven acres of rolling farmland off Hunters Ridge Road to Crestwood Gardens LLC for $1,350,000.
