Police arrested an Oklahoma man traveling Interstate 71 in Oldham County with 20 lbs. of marijuana and thousands in cash.
According to Kentucky State Police, a traffic stop in the early morning hours of Dec. 22 near mile-marker 24 yielded one ounce of cocaine, 20 lbs. of marijuana, 4.2 oz. marijuana sees and $11,570 in cash.
Police arrested the driver, Arthur Penrod, 72, of Inola, Okla., on charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
Penrod is housed in the Oldham County Jail and was also arrested on four warrants.
His arraignment has not been scheduled in Oldham County.
