The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists that the southbound Interstate 71 to KY 329 ramp (Exit 14) in Oldham County will be closed for concrete pavement replacement. The exit ramp is scheduled for closure September 6-11.
KYTC recently awarded a contract to Gohmann Asphalt and Construction, Inc. to remove and replace the concrete pavement at the exit and entrance ramps on southbound Interstate 71 at KY 329. The contract amount for this project is $772,000 and has a completion date of September 30, 2013.
The exit ramp from southbound I-71 to KY 329 (Exit 14) will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6 until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11. Motorists should follow the signed detour by exiting in advance of the work zone at KY 146 (Exit 17), turning right onto westbound KY 146 and proceed to KY 329 in Crestwood.
The entrance ramp from KY 329 to southbound I-71 contains a larger amount of pavement and will require two 5-day closure periods for concrete replacement. The closure of this ramp is currently scheduled for September 13-18 and September 20-25.
