The origin of where the term hot dog came from has been debated. Whether it was Tad Dorgan, a “New York Evening Journal” cartoonist who first coined the term in one of his cartoons at a baseball game, or a hot dog vendor, the terms “School Dawgs” and “Hemp Dawgs” was coined by David Neville.
