Historical Society celebrates 50 years

 The Oldham County Historical Society will host its 2009 Gala “Golden Anniversary Celebration: 50 Years of Heritage” on Friday.

The purpose of this annual event is to raise money to continue the society’s mission of offering a wide variety of free or low-cost programming to the community.  

At this year’s gala, R. Vincent Fanelli will be honored as the J. Chilton Barnett “Champion of Oldham County” History. Fanelli has been a long-time supporter of the Historical Society and of Oldham County.
