Allison Connell, a teacher at Harmony Elementary School in Goshen, was one of 50 educators selected to attend the National Gallery of Art’s 2008 Teacher Institute on 17th-century Dutch art.
The two six-day seminars in July and August brought together teachers of art, social studies and related subjects from 22 states. Focusing on the Gallery’s collection of 17th-century Dutch art, they explored ways, including image-enhanced podcasting, to integrate art objects into the classroom.
