Graves enjoys lead role in Nutcracker

CRESTWOOD – As a competitive figure skater Megan Graves is used to performing before crowds, but she added a whole new feature to her skating with the role of Clara in the Nutcracker.
“For me it’s a lot more acting,” Graves said. “There are more facial expressions and movements when I use my body. I have to make everything bigger.”
Graves, 12, a seventh-grader at South Oldham Middle School, played the part of Clara in the Iceland Sports Complex production of the Nutcracker on Ice this weekend.
