Gov. Steve Beshear recently appointed two Oldham County residents to statewide posts.

Beshear recently appointed Donald W. Helton to the Advisory Board for Veterans’ Affairs to serve for a term expiring May 10, 2012. Helton, of Pewee Valley, is a consultant and broker.  He represents Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The appointment replaces John T. Brame, whose term has expired. Beshear has reappointed Cornelia W. Bonnie to the Board of Directors of the Purchase of Agricultural Conservation Easement Corporation, to serve for a term expiring April 12, 2013. Bonnie, of Prospect, is a farmer, housewife, and volunteer.  She represents the Fourth Congressional District.
