Winds reaching more than 50 miles per hour whipped through Oldham County on Sunday. The wind uprooted trees, causing them to fall into the road, onto cars and homes. It also knocked limbs and branches from trees, sweeping them across yards and streets.
As the clean-up efforts continue throughout Oldham County, residents are looking for ways to dispose of the debris.
Susan Ripperdan, the county’s human resource manager, said limbs placed by the side of the road will be picked up by the county road department.
