CRESTWOOD – With a mix of experience and first-time enthusiasm, the Kentucky Tae Kwon Do and Fitness Academy recently brought home 16 medals from Junior and Senior Olympics in Detroit.
The 15-person team, under the direction of Master Sean Ramey, won seven gold medals in sparring in addition to bringing home three silvers and six bronze medals in sparring and fighting. The club also made history when Alex Naslund won a first ever gold medal in the newly created breaking division where emphasis is placed on the most creative kicks and punches to break a board.
