PROSPECT — Oldham County girls golf took home the victory in a nine-hole tri-match against South Oldham and North Oldham last Thursday at Nevel Meade Golf Course.

The Lady Colonels shot 211 as a team, edging out South Oldham in second at 219. North Oldham shot 236.

South freshman Molly Bebelaar had the lowest individual score with 4-over par 40.

OC senior Bailey Reitveld led the Lady Colonels with a 45 and junior Abi Hester shot a 49.

OC coach Justin Woods said Reitveld and fellow senior Alyssa Arterburn have led the charge for a deep Lady Colonel roster.

“They’ve both been on the team for several years,” Woods said. “I’m excited that we’re spread out. That’s probably the most important thing is that there’s a future in Oldham County golf with two juniors behind two of the seniors with two sophomores behind them.”

DeLany Young led North with a 47, and has put herself in a leadership position as the Lady Mustangs deal with depth issues, according to coach Ron Ricks.

“We’re missing our No. 1-2-3 golfers from having a full complement of players,” Ricks said. “We’re learning as we go as the new people are kind of thrown in to the fire and they’re holding up.”
