Gathof named third team All-American

RICHMOND – Former Oldham County High School standout Brandon Gathof was one of six Eastern Kentucky University football players named to the 2007 Sports Network All-America team. Gathof, a junior safety was named to the third team.The Colonels were the only Ohio Valley Conference squad to have multiple members on the top three teams.The 6-foot-2, 204-pound Gathof, a two-time first team All-OVC honoree, led the Colonels with 59 solo tackles and tied for second on the team with five interceptions.Against Richmond in the 2007 NCAA playoffs, the safety posted a career-high 13 tackles.
