Mallory Price, a fifth-grader at Liberty Elementary was inspired to compare her mother to the warmth and comfort of kisses, and hot chocolate on a chilly day. Her essay, “What My Mother Means to Me,” won first place in the state contest held by American Mothers Inc. She will compete at the national level. The winner at the national level will be announced during American Mothers Inc. National Convention in Lincoln, Neb., on April 24. American Mothers Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the moral and spiritual foundation of the family and home.
