To say that Dec. 8 was a special night for Oldham County High School athletics might be a bit of an understatement.
Though both the boys and girls teams picked up big wins in their respective games of the Ronald McDonald Classic — a fundraising game the Colonels have hosted for a decade — they also honored former basketball coach Gary Forrest with a banner recognizing his contributions to the program.
In fitting manner, it transpired during the event that Forrest founded and participated in for a number of years.
