GOSHEN –After posting the best season in school history, five North Oldham High School football players earned all-district honors.Quarterback Dylan Grandon, runningbacks Chris Dudley and Andrew Tuller, lineman Spencer Gooch and fullback/linebacker Ryan Gallas were all named to the coaches all-district squad.NOHS went 8-4 this year, a school record for wins, finished second in the district and won the first playoff game in school history before falling to Henry County 15-7 in the district finals.Grandon, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound senior finished his fourth-year as a starter directing the Mustangs’ high powered running game while also starting at safety on defense and handling the punting chores.He was also an efficient passer completing 84 of 159 passes for 1,025 yards with nine touchdowns.He led the team on defense with four interceptions.Tuller, Gallas and Dudley headed up a clock eating, powerful ground game for the Mustangs.Tuller, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound junior, led NOHS with 711 yards on 111 carries with six touchdowns.He was also the team’s leading receiver with 41 catches for 486 yards and three touchdowns.Dudley, a senior, carried the ball 121 times for 633 yards and 13 touchdowns. A dangerous kick returner, Dudley returned two kickoffs for scores during the season.Gallas, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound senior, carried the ball 106 times for 612 yards with nine touchdowns. He caught 12 passes for 118 yards.Gallas was also the team’s leading tackler from his middle linebacker spot and had three interceptions and three fumble recoveries.Gooch, a 5-foot-10, 235-pound junior was one of the leaders of a solid and under-rated offensive line from his guard spot and was a key performer along the defensive line.
