Challengers of Oldham County and the Oldham County Police Department hosted an informational session for parents about teen alcohol abuse, called “Start talking before they start drinking.”
OCPD Chief Michael Griffin said the meeting was to help fulfill the police’s mission to protect and serve Oldham County. He said by the time teenagers come in contact with police for drinking, it is too late. Prevention needs to start at home, he said.
