James and Anna Bailey of Oneonta, Ala. announce the engagement of their daughter, Maegen Bailey to William Carter, son of Alan and Judy Carter of Crestwood.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Donald and Adelia Kaestner of Sylacauga, Ala. and the late Clarence and Olive Bailey of Pinedale Shores, Ala.
She is a 2002 graduate of Oneonta High School in Oneonta, Ala. She majored in music at the University of Alabama in Birmingham where she studied piano under world renowned pianist, Dr. Yakov Kasman. Bailey currently owns a piano studio in her home in Oneonta. She is employed with Union Hill Baptist Church as pianist and First Baptist Church Trussville as private piano and musicianship teacher in their music conservatory. Synonymous with the University of Alabama football, Bailey is one of the “Houndstooth Twins” and does public appearances.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Alexander and Julia Kristof of Alpha, N.J. and Neva and the late Ralph Carter of Winter Park, Fla.
He is a 1989 Graduate of Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Tenn., and a 1993 Graduate of Florida State University. He is employed with Winters, Yonkers and Rousselle in Louisville.
The wedding will be July 18 at Union Hill Baptist Church, Oneonta. A reception is planned at Twin Oaks at Heritage in Oneonta.
