Edward E. ‘Shorty’ Yates Sr., 86

Edward E. “Shorty” Yates Sr., 86, of Crestwood, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Pewee Valley.
He was born July 9, 1926, to the late George L. and Eva Muncie Yates.
A life-long Baptist, he was a member of the Pewee Valley Baptist Church. He was retired from Trammell Crowe.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Elsie Hardin Yates; four brothers, Chester, Robert, Samuel and Eugene Yates; and three sisters, Alberta (JT) Williams, Nellie (Joe) Smith and Lucille Yates.
