Oldham students graduate from Georgetown College
Several Oldham County students recently graduated from Georgetown College. Graduating students include: •Caitlin M. Chilton, daughter of Tim and Regina Chilton of Crestwood; •Brittany D. Hawkins, daughter of John and Gayle Hawkins of Crestwood; •Emily A. Hettinger, daughter of Terry and Alisa Hettinger of La Grange; •Carson B. Jones, son of Cindy Jones and the late David Jones of Goshen; •Chelsey A. Reid, daughter of Sheila Reid of Crestwood; •Shelley M. Ware, daughter of Michael and Connie Markham of La Grange and granddaughter of Jim and JoAnn Markham of La Grange; •Bennett M. Gatto, son of Joseph and Tracy Gatto of Crestwood; •Stacie M. Silvers, daughter of Kevin and Sharon Silvers of Crestwood; •Angela H. Vance, daughter of Dr. Richard and Marguerite Vance of Pewee Valley; and •Cody D. Williams, son of James and Heidi Williams of Crestwood. Students named to dean’s list at JCTC Four local students were recently named to the dean’s list at Jefferson Community and Technical College. Those named to the dean’s list are Jesse Stafford, John Blackaby, Darrin Craig and Brighton Grissinger. To be named to the dean’s list at JCTC, students must earn a 3.5 grade-point average. Livy graduates from Clemson University Mitchell Robert Livy of Prospect recently graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Clemson University in South Carolina. He also received the Faculty Scholarship Award by the college of business and behavioral sciences for having a cumulative 4.0 grade-point average. Livy is a 2007 graduate of North Oldham High School. He plans to attend Ohio State University as a Ph.D. student in the agricultural, environmental, and development economics program in the fall. Hebel graduates from Murray State University Jason Hebel, a 2005 graduate of South Oldham High School recently graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is the son of Brian and Mary Hebel of La Grange. Oldham students named to dean’s list at Furman University Three local students were named to the dean’s list at Furman University for the spring semester. Maeve Johnson of Goshen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Johnson. Clare Garst of Prospect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Garst. Lauren Kline of Prospect is the daughter of Larry Kline and Susan Kline. Helvey accepted to Sullivan University Tiffany Helvey of Crestwood was recently accepted to Sullivan University. Helvey will graduate from South Oldham High School.
