East Oldham Middle teacher selected for Madison fellowship

For the past three years Vanessa Lierly has been working at East Oldham Middle School as an eighth-grade teacher. When she first began her teaching career in the county, she was teaching language arts and social studies, but when given the choice, she chose to devote her classroom time to American history.“I’ve always loved teaching American history, especially government,” Lierly said.
