Dunn participates in poetry contest

Earlier this year, East Oldham Middle School eighth-grader Sean Dunn submitted a poem to a contest held for young poets. His poem was selected from thousands of entries as one of the top ten in his grade division. 

The Top of the World

With a giant ear to ear smile across my face I go higher

The higher I go the more I need to get to the top

Looking down I can see my dad looking up at me standing on the grass

I don’t know if I can make it the branches keep getting smaller,
