A wrongful death lawsuit blames a La Grange doctor for failing to alert the parents of a Prospect teenager about his potentially fatal heart condition, before he collapsed and died during a soccer game last year.
The lawsuit, filed Dec. 15 in Jefferson Circuit Court, claims that Dr. Carl D. Paige cleared 19-year-old Bryce Turner to participate in sports — despite the detection of a heart murmur in a June 2006 physical.
