Following confusion at the last fiscal court meeting, County Attorney John Fendley sought to settle the debate concerning the usage of golf carts in Oldham County.
Fendley decided – based on new measures recently passed – that fiscal court and the county should take no action.
The law concerning the operation of low-speed vehicles on highways took effect June 25 and enforced more restrictive measures. If golf carts meet all requirements, then operation of a golf cart is legal, but only on roadways with a speed limit not exceeding 35 miles per hour.
