Crestwood commissioners increase insurance premium tax rate

Members of the Crestwood City Commission approved an increase in the insurance premium tax rate from 5 to 10 percent Feb. 13. La Grange, Goshen and Pewee Valley raised the tax at January and December meetings following the increase in rates from Oldham County Fiscal Court. Fiscal Court raised the tax to 10 percent on Nov. 20. By raising the tax rate with the county, city governments avoid letting funds go to Fiscal Court’s budget.
