For over 43 years, Larry Craig has been in the car business — ever since he was 17 years old. Now, Craig and his company, Craig and Landreth Cars, are bringing that experience to Crestwood.

The Crestwood location will be the company’s seventh, with other dealerships across Louisville and one in Clarksville. Craig and Landreth Cars has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and Craig said the company “stands behind what we sell.”

“We’re owned and operated by family and we’re involved every day,” Craig said. He and his son Joey are co-owners of the company.

“We take care of our customers,” Craig said. “There’s no hassle — we don’t want to waste your time.”

The company tried to purchase Perkins Eastside Chrysler, the dealership formerly in the location, for three years, according to Craig. But, an agreement was never made, so when Perkins closed, Craig’s company bought the location.

With gas prices leveling off, Craig believes Oldham County shoppers will be looking for the variety of cars, trucks and SUVs that Craig and Landreth has to offer.

“The kind of cars we sell fit in well with Oldham County,” he said.

The new dealership is located at the corner of the 329 bypass and Ky. 146 and opens Oct. 3. There will be a month-long celebration, with hot dogs, hamburgers and other fare for visitors to enjoy, Craig said.
