Firing a gun in Oldham County neighborhoods may soon mean a fine for those practicing their aim. Members of Oldham County Fiscal Court are considering more stringent gun regulations to prohibit firing a weapon within 300 feet of a building occupied by another person. The ordinance would allow firing a gun within the area if the building owner is firing the weapon, or if the shooter is accompanied by the owner. Magistrate Bob Deibel, who chairs the safety committee, said the ordinance was created to prevent skeet shooting in high-density residential areas.
