More than 1,500 residents will get new trash containers as part of an initiative to make garbage service more efficient in Oldham County. With the arrival of four new garbage trucks in coming weeks, Industrial Disposal will require residents use totes designed for new trucks to retrieve from curbs. Linda Fountain, Oldham County’s solid waste coordinator, said the change in the system and lighter trucks will reduce the spread of litter and minimize wear and tear on roads.
