Conservationists in Action

-A A +A

In a year when the monarch butterfly population is at its’ lowest in history, it was doubtful I would have been able to offer the Monarch Butterfly Program to area school children without the help of some very giving individuals.

I would like to extend a BIG thanks to Vernon Hodge, Steve Greenwell and Kevin Dick for going out of their way to ensure the program happened.  With over 100 classrooms, representing over 2000 students participating, these gentleman welcomed me onto their property and into their fields to collect eggs, larva and to harvest milkweed leaves.  I couldn’t have done it without you and I am so appreciative.

Thanks to Vernon, Steve, Kevin all the student scientists that helped increase the Monarch butterfly numbers across the county this year!
