Turner-Jones Engagement

Teresa Turner of Crestwood announces the engagement of her daughter, Charlotte Turner to Mark N. Jones, son of Michael and Kathy Boggs of Crestwood.

The groom-elect is serving in the U.S. Army and is overseas in Iraq. The wedding will be 1 p.m. June 20 at South Oldham Church.   Lyon completes Marine Corps boot camp

Private First Class Brandon Lyon, 18, of La Grange, graduated from U.S. Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island on Oct. 17.

Lyon successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Parris Island as one of 67 recruits in 3rd Battalion, Quebec Company, Platoon 3091.

Following 10 days of home leave he will report to Camp LeJeune for one month at Military Combat Training then Intelligence Military Occupation Specialty school in Virginia.

Lyon graduated from Oldham County High School in June. He is the son of Diane Lyon of La Grange and Jim Lyon of Louisville.   Inman graduates from basic training

U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman Seth C. Inman has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

In addition, he earned credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Inman is the son of James Inman of Harrison, Ohio, and Dana Giffen of Louisville. He is a 2005 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School in Harrison.
