This is a Call To Artists for the fifteenth annual Arts on the Green Festival, Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8, 2014, presented by the Arts Association of Oldham County.

Rehabilitators Eileen Wicker of Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky, Inc. (http://www.raptorrehab.org/) and Brigette Williams of Second Chances Wildlife Center (http://www.secondchanceswildlife.org/) will give presentations on the importance of wildlife rehabilitation. They will help visitors understand what should be done if you find a baby animal. Meet and learn the stories of live raptors and mammals that have been nursed back to health!

Tired of Friday Night Fish Fry’s? Then St. James has the alternative. Every Friday in Lent, St. James Episcopal Church’s Men’s Group will host Lenten Pasta Nights.
The traditional church fare during Lent is the fish fry and Friday fish frys are held by several other churches in the area. The newly-formed men’s group of St. James will offer a pasta dinner as a meat-free alternative to the traditional fish.
The menu is simple: Each Friday during Lent we will offer a different variety of pasta, i.e. spaghetti, penne, rotini, etc. The pasta selection will be offered with a choice of two sauces, meatless marinara (red sauce) or a creamy Alfredo (white) sauce. Salad and bread will also be served.
Customers dining in will get a serving of pasta with their choice of sauce and a small salad. Bread, butter and condiments will be available and we will have soft drinks and water for sale. Take out customers will get a serving of pasta with their choice of sauce and a small salad in a take-out container. Water and soft drinks also available to go. Prices are $5 for the pasta and salad. Drinks are $1.
Pasta nights are March 14, 21, 28 and April 4 and 11. Service is from 5 - 7 p.m.

Pancakes and Handshakes
Join us for pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs at 8:30 -10:30 a.m on March 15 at Sligo Baptist Church on 65 N. 42 Loop, Pendleton. If you want to donate or if you are in need of we will have canned goods, toilet paper (1 ply), and paper towels on hand. The extra we collect will be given to Henry County Help Center.

The movie Cold Justice is a western saga filmed largely in the La Grange area.
This showing will be hosted at the Christian Country Cowboy Church at 2301 W. Hwy. 146, La Grange and presented by Cowboy Posse and Six Guns Entertainment.
Show times are Sat., March 22 at 1, 4 and 7 p.m. and Sun., March 23 at 1 and 4 p.m.
