Back to School Event

Over 30+ small business and direct sales vendors in one place for you to do some back to school shopping and meet your new neighbors at Oldham Oaks Apartments. Plus, door prizes and used book fundraiser to raise money for Relay for Life of Oldham County.

Also, there will be activities for the kids while the parents browse and shop. The event takes place Aug, 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1000 Cassandra Lane, La Grange, off Commerce Parkway

PACC tackles bridges

Prospect Area Chamber’s August Lunch Meeting to Focus on East End Bridge Progress

Everyone knows about the construction, the dust and the frustration, but also about the end product is one that will be of great benefit – an East End Bridge connecting Kentucky and Indiana.

Join PACC at New Goshen Presbyterian Church Aug. 20 as Paul Boone, Project Manager with IDOT, provides an update to progress on the project. The community is encouraged to attend.

Cost for members is $15, guests are $20. Please RSVP and pay at www.prospectareachamber.org by Aug. 17. Lunch will be catered so a count is necessary. New Goshen Presbyterian Church is located at 12900 W. US Highway 42, Prospect, KY 40059. Networking at 11:30 a.m. and out the door and back to work by 1 p.m.

OC Singers select Anderson

The Oldham County Singers, community chorus, announce the selection of Mr. Walter Anderson as their music director for their 16th season. Mr. Anderson, presently the music director at Pewee Valley Presbyterian Church, has assisted with establishing several vocal arts groups here and in Lexington, Shelbyville and Nashville.

There is an Open House scheduled for Monday, Sept. 8, 6:45-8:30 p.m. in Rm. A and B in the Oldham County Schools Arts Center, 7105 Floydsburg Road, Crestwood.

The Oldham County Singers are recruiting new members.
