Crestwood Civic Meeting

The next meeting of the Crestwood Civic Club will be Friday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. Location: 7215 Kavanaugh Road, Crestwood, Kentucky

Presentation will be made by Bobbie Stoess on behalf of the South Oldham Inter-Church Council. For information, call 222-7908.

Dance class

Everyone is invited to shake a leg with us this Friday. Class starts at 7:30 with a group lesson in tango and then party until 10 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. Requests are taken. If any questions call (502) 225-4361.

Daughters of American Revolution

Daughters of the American Revolution, Peter Foree Chapter will host “Women in the Military” on April 15 at 6 p.m. at the Oldham County Library. Our speakers will be Patty St. Clair and Marg Graves, RN both veterans of the Vietnam War. DAR is a nonprofit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American History and securing America’s future through better education. DAR consists of nearly 177,000 members in 3,000 chapters across the world. Please contact Pam Isaac at 222-1310 for more information.

New play at Little Colonel Playhouse

I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES, a stage play by Neil Simon, opens at Little Colonel Playhouse starting April 3.

Additional dates are April 3, 4, 5, 11, 12 at 8 p.m. and April 6 and 13 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors (60+). Reservations strongly recommended by calling 588-1557.

The Story: Herb, a Hollywood scriptwriter currently “at liberty” is surprised when his forgotten past reappears in the form of Libby, a teenage daughter who trekked from Brooklyn with dreams of movie stardom. With Steffy, his sometimes paramour at his side, Herb decides to take another stab at fatherhood and, hopefully, this time, get it right.
