Career fair and workshop at SOHS

-A A +A

Attention high school juniors and seniors.

You and your friends won’t want to miss the Career Fair, Thursday from 7- 8:30 p.m. at South Oldham High School’s Cafeteria.

Visit this unique, two-part Career Fair and Workshop, where students can first focus on how to select a major or career path and then interact directly with industry professionals and/or college admissions officers from two-year, career-based colleges.

This is a great program for all students: those who plan to attend traditional 4-year colleges but need assistance with college major selection to those who plan to earn a 2-year degree or certification to enter the work force shortly after high school graduation.

Please support the College and Career Night program and the many professionals who are volunteering their time to mentor Oldham County’s students.

While this event is most informative for juniors and seniors, all ages and interests are welcome to attend, including parents.

Additionally, so many of our students have no idea how to select a major or know what careers are available once they have earned a degree. We have over 50 community professionals who plan to attend to speak with students on an individualized basis, so there will be something for everyone.

Students do not need to stay until 8:30. Once they’ve spoken to all that they’d like, they’re free to leave. Please encourage your student to attend. This is a great opportunity for them.
