Dancer’s Pointe offers dance classes, photo event

The Dancer’s Pointe in Pewee Valley has several special events planned.

Martha Work Photography will be available Jan. 31 for a “Fairy Photo Event.” With costuming available, children can take on the role of a forest fairy complete with flora, fauna and reflecting pond. Visit www.marthaworkphotography.com or call 243-2522 for information.

Salsa and social dance classes are currently forming. Individual and group classes are available.

Daniel Lally returns for yoga/tai chi flow classes on Friday mornings. The two forms of movement help promote flexibility, balance, strength, coordination and relaxation.

The Dancer’s Pointe is  located at 207 La Grange Road in Pewee Valley. They offer a variety of classes for young, intermediate and maturing dancers.

Seven Counties opens La Grange location

Seven Counties Services, Inc., the comprehensive care center for individuals and families affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, addictions and abuse, recently opened a new location at 2141 Spencer Court in La Grange. The center, specifically designed and built to deliver a full range of services and programs, serves the residents of Oldham, Henry and Trimble counties.

 Seven Counties will host an Open House from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday. The public is welcome to attend. For information or an appointment, call the 589-1100.

Snap Fitness opens Prospect location

Snap Fitness, 6300 Pleasant Colony Court, Prospect opened it’s doors for business Jan. 8. 

Snap Fitness provides a 24-hour fitness gym, personal training and tanning.

With a staff of three, the business is owned and managed by Margaret LaRocca and Erin Strode.
