Police are warning drivers headed northbound on Interstate 71 that two vehicles were hit by bullets Wednesday.
No injuries have been reported.
According to police, one driver reported that he thought a small rock hit his vehicle while traveling near Buckner.
But when he arrived at his destination in La Grange, the driver discovered a bullet hole in the bed of his truck.
Police recovered fragments of a bullet from his truck.
Shortly after, a second driver reported shots fired at a vehicle. The driver told police the noise intially sounded like a tire blowout but later found evidence of a bullet.
As Oldham County Police traveled to meet with the second driver, a third driver flagged down an officer to report shots had been fired at their vehicle.
According to police, shots appear to be coming from the southbound side of I-71 and striking cars traveling northbound.
The bullets could be coming from a wooded median near Buckner, police said.
