Breakfast gala to benefit The HDB Service Group

The HDB Service Group Inc. will host a gourmet breakfast gala at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 16 in the fellowship hall at at LaGrange Baptist Church. The event is sponsored by Baptist Hospital Northeast

Features full breakfast buffet prepared by guest chef Garrett Sanborn. Sanborn is a chef, caterer and instructor who launched the Culinary Arts Academy for the Oldham County Schools. Norma Jean Burley, owner of Norma Jeans Restaurant, will assist with the buffet.

Silent Auction items donated by local businesses include giant baskets prepared around various theme such as chocolate, coffee, sports and leisure and art.

Rodger Bingham, "Kentucky Joe" who appeared on the 2003 season of the CBS television show "Survivor" will give a short talk about his experience and how the help of others helps us all survive.

The HDB video is a seven-minute documentary of HDB's services. The producer is Megg Ward, an Oldham County High School student with experience in film and editing. Ward's videos were featured at the 2006 Bluegrass Independent Festival student category. The HDB video is her project to be to shown at the 2008 Festival. The video sponsor is LogistiCare Inc.

The program features introductions, two testimonials from two of the HDB clients featured on the video and brief remarks by the Vente Sponsor, Baptist Hospital Northeast.
