A Pewee Valley woman charged with sexual abuse and rape of a minor was once again in Oldham Circuit Court last week. Jessica Boyers, 24, was a teacher at Highland Middle School in Jefferson County who allegedly had a relationship with a minor.

Boyers, was arrested by Louisville Metro Police on those charges in April and indicted on them April 23 in Jefferson County. She was also indicted on 38 sex crime charges in Oldham County in June.

In her Oldham case, attorneys are still digging through evidence files and the commonwealth still has interviews to do before the case proceeds to trial, both prosecuting and defense attorneys said.

Boyers will return for a pre-trial conference in Jefferson County on Jan. 13 and will return to Oldham County for a pre-trial hearing on Feb. 6.
