Boy Scouts of America Troop 109 of Prospect will host a 75th reunion for all scouts, former scouts, leaders and others who have been involved over its 75 years.
The reunion takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, the troop’s home base.
The program will include hors d’oeuvres, a PowerPoint presentation and guest speakers.
Leaders consider Troop 109’s origin to have been in 1934, although it was active prior to that; records going back to 1928 exist, but a lapse in 109’s charter meant a restart of the clock.
Over the years, the troop has guided more than 100 boys to the rank of Eagle Scout.
Today, it claims six Eagles, and two more boys have recently completed their Eagle projects.
About 30 boys participate regularly in troop activities.
