Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery Feb. 1 at the Fast Break Shell gas station on Ky. 329 bypass in Crestwood. About 10:25 p.m., a man wearing all-black clothing, a black ski mask and hood, approached a clerk with a gun, advised her to give him money and threatened to shoot. According to police, the clerk was able to lock herself in an office and call police. The suspect fled from the scene without any money, but no vehicle description is available. The suspect is described as a white male between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 inches tall, police said.
