“It’s been a good season,” Toth said. “It’s been fun because we are all friends.”
Toth began playing softball at 8 in the North Oldham Little League and doesn’t play any other sports.
She has hit in various spots in the batting order this season and is a threat on the base paths for the Lady Colonels.
The move to freshman ball this year was a bit scary at first, but she has adapted.
“It’s actually been a whole lot of fun,” Toth said. “At first I was nervous about it, but it hasn’t been that bad. I was more worried at the start about not being able to do my best, but that hasn’t happened.”
School: An A and B student, Toth said math is her favorite subject.
“It’s what I’m good at and I really like it,” Toth said.
What the coach says: “Her strong points are her speed and defense,” OCHS freshman coach Amber Connelly said. “We have been working with her on slapping the ball and laying down a bunt. She really gets to the ball fast which is what you need in an outfielder.”
